Alex Mollmann

Business Development Manager

Alex Mollmann joined Vikan nine years ago as a regional Sales Manager, a role he held for four years. He then moved into a Sales System Specialist position for two years, before taking on his current role as Business Development Manager for the last three years.

Throughout the past six years, he has also kept close ties with the business as the person responsible for the South East Europe region.

Over his nine years with Vikan, Alex has seen the company change, especially within the digital area. Vikan has introduced dedicated tools and solutions to streamline everyday tasks, all while continuing to bring exceptional value to partners and customers.

Looking back, Alex says Vikan has offered him the same career evolution he would otherwise have had to find by changing companies and positions every three to four years. He believes this has proved valuable for both him and the company, as he has been able to take on different positions in diverse environments while building on solid foundations.

The constant evolution of the job – its missions, projects, and markets – has been the best part of working at Vikan,” Alex says.

During his time at Vikan, Alex also made the move from France to Skive (HQ). He was initially hired as Regional Manager for France, but as his role naturally evolved toward closer collaboration with Head Office, being based abroad meant frequent travel, long hours on the road or in airports, lost luggage, and many hotel nights. Eventually, it made more sense for him to be closer to his core working environment, and he found the work culture in Skive highly stimulating.

Alex admits that what would probably surprise people most about working at Vikan is just how interesting selling hygienic cleaning tools can be.

Looking ahead, Alex believes Vikan’s core values and corporate culture will remain essential in the years to come, keeping the company grounded in its origins while guiding the direction it is heading.

If you are looking for a position in a dynamic industry that plays a strong role in improving global food safety, look no further,” Alex says.

Do you have a favorite memory or funny story from your time at Vikan you would like to share?

One of my fondest memories is the first Summer Party in Skive. It was during my first year at the company and gave me the opportunity to meet all my Sales colleagues from abroad. I was struck by how quickly we connected in this new setting, making me feel truly part of the team.
