Kelly Mulholland

Technical Manager Safety & Quality, Foundation FSSC

Kelly Mulholland is the FSSC Technical Manager for Safety and Quality for Foundation FSSC, overseeing the FSSC 22000 Scheme and the FSSC 22000 Development Program.

Foundation FSSC is a global non-profit and independent Scheme owner who aims to provide trust and deliver impact to the consumer goods industry. Kelly has an extensive background in food safety after working at a certification body, where she was the Technical & Compliance Manager for Food, part of the Global Food Team. Prior to this, Kelly was a lead auditor for GFSI schemes such as FSSC 22000 and BRCGS Food. She has also worked in the food industry as a QA manager, technical manager and consultant.

Kelly holds a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Food Technology from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in South Africa. Kelly is passionate about food safety and food safety management systems.

 

Mercè Sánchez

Food Programme Manager, LGC

Mercè has responsibility for Food Safety, Storage & Distribution, Agents & Brokers, Start!, Gluten-Free, and Plant-Based standards at BRCGS.

She has more than 5 years of experience in the food industry and over 15 years of certification body experience, including auditing for food safety and packaging management systems.

Besides direct work in the food industry, Mercè was an associate professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and a professor at Escola Agraria Empordà.

 

Adam Green

XR E-Platform & Market Manager, METTLER-TOLEDO SAFELINE X-RAY LTD

Since 2015, Adam has worked in various commercial and technical roles at METTLER TOLEDO. During that time, he facilitated the development of an online demonstration platform to provide technical support to customers due to the global change of working behaviours.

He has also worked with local markets to help the development of the sales teams that promote X-ray technology and its benefits to customers.

Global Hygiene Specialist, Vikan

Deb Smith has 40 years of food safety/research experience. At Vikan, she provides expert hygiene advice and support to both colleagues and the food industry. Prior to joining Vikan, Deb worked as a microbiologist for a large poultry processor; as a Research Manager in the UK Governments Food Safety Division; and as Food Hygiene Research Manager at Campden BRI. She holds qualifications in Applied Microbiology, Nutrition & Food Science, Advanced Food Hygiene and HACCP, and as an FSSC22000 lead auditor.

Deb has authored numerous food safety/hygiene publications, including peer-reviewed papers, book chapters, and several food industry hygiene guidelines. She also regularly presents her work at national and international food safety events, sits on the Advisory Board of EHEDG and, in 2023, was honoured with the IAFP Sanitarian of the Year award.
