What does it mean?

  • Cleaning tools are made using hygienic design principles
    • Easy to clean
    • Filament unit placements improve the ability to clean, dry and inspect the tools
    • Smooth surface finish
    • No acute internal angles
    • Meet the requirement to use cleaning equipment that is ‘hygienically design’ as laid out in BRCGS (GFSI-benchmarked) requirements, FDA 21 CFR, and EU 10/2011 regulations.

What are the benefits to the end-user?

  • Cleaning tools are easier to clean
    • Increases safety and reduces risk of cross-contamination
    • Less product rejections, recalls, and waste
    • Saves time during the cleaning of the cleaning tools

Difference Explained

To clean the crevice where the filaments are attached, water turbulence is required.
The deeper the crevice, the harder it is to remove contamination.

Using good hygienic design principles, UST brushware has been produced with a
crevice of only 2 mm, which improves the removal of contamination compared
to other brushware on the market today.
