My name is Mads Lodahl, and I’m currently serving as Vikan’s regional export manager for Central and Eastern Europe. I work out of our headquarters in Skive and our Copenhagen office.
As regional export manager, I’m responsible for strengthening and growing relations with our business partners in my region. Having strong relationships with our business partners is a must-win battle for me, because our partners are a vital part in our ability to grow and succeed in their markets. Working closely together with our partners involves:
- Understanding market-specific behaviour and needs
- Developing monthly and yearly activity and marketing plans
- Partner visits to present new products, attending exhibitions/conferences, training sessions etc.
- Day-to-day business such as handling specific product- and market-related questions and requests
I have a master’s degree in Business Innovation and Marketing from the University of Aarhus in Denmark. After graduating in 2013, I spent a couple of years working with online marketing, as both a PPC specialist and a key account manager at a small online marketing agency.
Prior to my current position as regional export manager, I worked as a sales and marketing coordinator in Vikan’s Marketing Department. This experience helped me to better understand marketing-activity plans and develop these in collaboration with our partners. It also gave me a better understanding of how to exploit the potential of our marketing department, and to channel their knowledge to build great customer experiences and relationships.
I live with my amazing girlfriend Sanne in Gjellerup just outside Herning, Denmark. I love sport, travelling and being together with my family and friends. In my spare time, you’ll probably find me either on a football pitch or on the golf course.
On the Vikan Blog, I contribute blog posts about customer-related matters and the day-to-day challenges I encounter as a regional export manager.
