Ergonomics are highly prioritised in Vikan ErgoClean®

Employees in the cleaning industry often suffer back problems and pains in their joints, and in general there are many repetitive strain injuries among employees in the industry.

We would very much like to contribute to altering this situation, and that is why we develop the most ergonomically correct implements in the market. We do this through close cooperation with experts in ergonomics from the Occupational Health Service in Denmark, the Danish Institute for Occupational Health, adult vocational training centres and the cleaning industry itself.

 

We develop implements that help employees work in an ergonomically correct position. For example, we have developed a series of new ergonomic mop handles of low weight, the tops of which are rounded and moulded so they fit the palm of the hand and giving extra power during work. The mop handles have a comfortable hand support which facilitates work on vertical surfaces, as the handle rests in the hand and thus feels far lighter.

We are doing intensive work on the development of new ergonomically correct implements, which we are continuously launching, thus providing workers in the cleaning industry with the most ergonomically correct tools for their work. First and foremost, this is to provide job satisfaction, but for cleaning companies and companies with their own cleaning staff, ergonomically correct cleaning implements will result in a decline in absenteeism through sickness, and having good working implements at hand will make it easier to attract and hold on to employees.
