Unique products for unique challenges
Food safety and the avoidance of cross contamination is a key driver behind the stringent hygiene rules and other health and safety legislation that is directed at the restaurant sector. It is also a major management concern as a failure in compliance could result in damage to brand integrity and the company's reputation.
Visible and hygienic cleanliness
For a good customer experience it is essential that the seating and ordering area is both welcoming and spotlessly clean, while a hygienically clean environment in the kitchen prevents cross contamination from microbes or ingredients. As well as being a HACCP requirement, implementing systematic cleaning and sanitizing procedures also increase ingredient shelf life, reduce spoilage and returns, enhance customer relations and improve employee health.
Offering protection against cross contamination and chemical build up, and the efficient removal of spillages, our durable tools are designed to cope with the heavy daily demands of multiple users. The ergonomic and attractive appearance of Vikan tools means that they can be used during service, even when customers are present.
Effective operations
Vikan's restaurant solution is simple to use and quick to deploy. Our microfibre and colour-coded systems have been designed for use by inexperienced cleaning staff as well as professionals, and for premises with a high staff turnover or where language might be a barrier.
Vikan's microfibre mops and cloths remove 99.9% of all microbes, and significantly higher levels of dust and dirt from surfaces than traditional cleaning, while our colour-coded hanging brackets mean the right tools are always on hand when needed. Fully colour-coded cleaning tools have been shown to motivate hygienic behaviour as using tools with coloured backs and bristles promotes staff confidence, and a greater inclination to regularly use, check for wear and then replace the tools correctly.
Reduce slips and falls
The pre-prepared damp mops are more efficient at cleaning soiled areas than wet mops and remove the need to lift heavy buckets of water. As they leave surfaces dry, they are safer too: routine cleaning or spillage removal will not inconvenience customers and staff; the damp areas where microbes breed are eliminated; and, with lower water usage and fewer chemicals, there are environmental benefits as well.
