Approved materials
All Vikan products that might come into contact with food stuffs have been designed to comply with Framework Regulation (EC) 1935/2004 and EU 10/2011, and are marked with the glass and fork symbol. These food-contact products are also made with US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved raw materials that comply with Regulation CFR21 for processing, handling and packaging foodstuffs. ...
Migration tests
Materials intended to come into contact with foodstuffs are not allowed to transfer toxic substances via migration when in contact with food. Vikan’s colour coded products specially designed for the food industry are complying 100% with this requirement. The Vikan products are tested at a certified laboratory, furnishing documentation that Vikan’s products are complying with the migration limits laid down by EU legislation, and set up in the recent EU regulation 10/2011.
