The Nordic Eco Label
The Nordic Swan Mark is an eco-label system implemented across the five Scandinavian countries of Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, and Denmark since 1989. Migration tests
Materials intended to come into contact with foodstuffs are not allowed to transfer toxic substances via migration when in contact with food. Vikan’s colour coded products specially designed for the food industry are complying 100% with this requirement. The Vikan products are tested at a certified laboratory, furnishing documentation that Vikan’s products are complying with the migration limits laid down by EU legislation, and set up in the recent EU regulation 10/2011.
