Vikan was established in 1898 as a brush factory focusing on good craftsmanship. Today, we are a highly automated production company which operates globally and is among the world's leading suppliers of cleaning implements and equipment.

Ever since the beginning Vikan has been characterised by having a continuous focus on research and development and Vikan's own development department ensures optimum solutions and innovation.
Ownership
Vikan is 90% owned by the Vissing Foundation and the rest i owned by the company CEO Carsten Bo Pedersen. The Vissing Foundation often sponsors non-profit-making purposes within the following areas:
- Medical research and healthcare
- Technical research related to hygiene and environment
225 employees
The majority of Vikan's products are manufactured in Denmark - in the town of Skive, where we have had our headquarters since the founding of the company. We also have production facilities in Sweden and Estonia along with subsidiaries in Sweden, France, Germany and the UK.
Vikan employs some 225 people overall.
